Hello everyone. I was looking around and thought this would be a great place to ask people about their insight on mmorpg games. I'm writing a paper on mmorpg games and right now I am researching as much as I can on this topic. I'm mainly looking for information about current and upcoming mmorpg games. Like, what is the current top 5 or top 10 mmorpgs. What are the most anticipated upcoming mmorpgs. Since I'm fairly new to mmorpg; only started playing Guild Wars about 4 months ago, and it is the first mmorpg I've played. So my knowledge in this area isn't quite detailed so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well the top 4 that are spoken of alot is guild wars, world of warcraft, star wars galaxies, and diablo

people are talking a lot about dungean and dragons too. (but they are arguing a bit. people think its fantastic and (most) people think it really sucks)

ofcourse WOW is the popularist. people are talking a lot about new raids/quest/missions and about the expansion pack theburning crusade

Guildwars is really popular too (mostly because it is free, but also because it is just really good

)

The mmorpg battle is already started but more and more games are coming and want to be the best and the popularest mmorpg. (lotr mmorpg, huxly, sun and way more)

Diablo 2 was a popular choice for most gamers before Guild Wars. Like Guild Wars, it was free to play online, but soon became too infested with mods and hackers, which lead to new patches being developed for the game. These patches often had unsatisfactory results, leading to a large number of people quitting the game

World of Warcraft (WoW) is quite a popular MMORPG. However, it is also a subscription fee game, leading to some dislike. Also, many people believe its graphics are too 'cartoony', and the never-ending quest to get the best gear in the game makes it unsatisfactory. Nevertheless, it is one of the most popular MMORPGS at the moment
